An education inside real businesses
I learned business by doing the work. My family owned companies across several industries: a trash company, a locksmith business, a glass company, a body shop, and a printing and advertising agency. Working inside those businesses gave me a broad education in what it takes to keep a company running.
I spent time in financing and bookkeeping, worked in sales, and took on hands-on roles in the field and shop. I got to understand a business from different perspectives: the people doing the work, the customers buying it, and the numbers behind it.
From doing the work to leading the company
That foundation carried into my own path as an owner and operator. My experience grew from doing the day-to-day work to taking responsibility for a business, improving how it runs, and working through the challenges of growth and scale. Along the way, I also led dealership service and parts operations across multiple brands.
Those experiences shaped how I approach a company today. Sales, people, finances, and operations all affect one another. I want to understand how those pieces fit together, where the owner is getting pulled into everything, and what needs to change for the business to work better.
A business that supports a good life
Today, my work spans business support, remote staffing, and automotive, alongside my work with EPIC. I build and help lead companies while helping owners of seven- and eight-figure businesses build stronger companies and get their time back.
That last part matters to me personally. My wife, Amber, and our three children are a big part of why I care about building a business that supports a good life. Growth matters, and so does having the time and freedom to enjoy the people you’re building it for.
